Process of the course

Master’s Program

0. Before the entrance exam
  • Students must first contact the office of Ph.D. Program in Life Science Innovation about faculty members with whom they wish to study, and then contact the faculty members
  • Write names of faculty members of your choice onto the application form
1. First year in master program
  • Entering the course that the faculty member of your choice belongs to
  • Determination of mentor faculty
  • Performing research activity in each laboratory
  • Submission of research proposal
2. Second year in master program
  • Mid-term presentation
  • Submission of master thesis or report on specific subject research
  • Students who wish to proceed to the Doctor program subsequently can submit a document on qualifying examination as substitution of master thesis
  • Final examination
  • The conferment of degree
Acquisition of credits necessary for program completion in 2 years
  • Basic subjects: 13 subjects and 14 credits from the common basic subjects
  • Specialized subjects: 15 credits
  • Graduate General Education Courses: 1 credit
  • Total: 34 credits

Doctor’s Program

  • Students must contact faculty members with whom they wish to study in advance
  • Write names of faculty members of your choice onto the application form
1. First year in doctor program
  • Entering the course that the faculty member of your choice belongs to
  • Determination of mentor faculty
  • Performing research activity in each laboratory
2. Second year in doctor program
  • Mid-term presentation
3. Third year in doctor program
  • Preliminary review
  • Submission of doctor thesis
  • Final examination
  • The conferment of degree
Acquisition of credits necessary for program completion in 3 years
  • Basic subjects: 3 creditss
  • Specialized subjects: 18 credits
  • Graduate General Education Courses: 1 credits
  • Total: 24 credits

And

  • Publication of at least one peer-reviewed paper written in English as first author
